I actually had this same experience when my oldest was a baby. It turned out to be a cold Thank Goodness but they did scare the hell out of me when they said they wanted to test him for menengitous.     If you look at the motive behind her words and her choice of approach, it is fear mongering. She is using your fear of your child dying, going deaf…ect. to push their agenda.

    If it were Laura Bush or any other repub, that is what it would be called.

    We need to change our Health care system, no doubt. But their plan is dangerous and for me and millions of others, out of the question.

    I really wish they would leave folks like you out of the equasion but unfortunately that is not the way it works. These fears are not unrealistic in any way for a parent and people who have kids with no insurance live with these fears everyday. Of course she is trying to make dense folks like yourself see that.. but she fails to realize that you lack compassion and therefore it is pointless. How is the plan dangerous for you? This should be interesting since the final bill has not been written.

    What services is your private insurance company planing to drop when this passes? How will your healthcare be in the hands of the government unless you sign up for the public option yourself? What about all the folks on Medicare are they at risk? If they are then why are they so hell bent on keeping that program?

But you will figure that out when you are slapped on a LONGER WAITING LIST than you would be on now in some circumstances… I have family in the UK, Canada, America and South America. Them and every last one of their friends would give their left leg to come to America for treatment.

    I have a friend in India and he was just treated for cancer for a grand total of 5,000.00 and he didn’t have to wait at all. I have a lot of friends in Canada and think we are downright silly. They actually voted Toomy Douglas as the greatest Canadian ever.. He is the founder of they medical system. Just think of all the jobs this will create. I have 3 family members in nursing school right now.

    Richard, as I have mentioned often there are severl alternatives to Obama’s hell bent drive to desemate the American health care system, but of course, like your leader Obama that’s not important. This isn’t about health care at all. Obama doesn’t care if families have health care or not. He wants the power this plan will afford him to tax americans into the dirt.     I would also like to add that there are a lot of folks that would be happy just to be on a waiting list because atleast then they have a chance that they don’t have now.
